i was in my room, reading my w@w mails, when my mom came rushing in.
"Ella's parents are here!"
WOW! tito ed & tita beta are here! i was ecstatic to see them! it's been months since we last saw each other, and they're really my second parents. growing up, i practically lived in ella's house, only coming home to eat and sleep. in fact, most days i'd even eat at their house, so that my mom would tell me that i'm only a bedspacer at home. teehee!
although they only stayed a little while, we had a good time updating each other on what's been happening. as usual, we also started reminiscing about the good ol' days when we were still neighbors. we were all laughing as we remembered one time when we put an inflatable pool right smack in the middle of the street so that we could swim. bwarharhar! tito ed also said that whenever he hears ella on the phone, he can always tell that i'm the one she's talking to because all he hears are giggles and guffaws. my mom seconds the motion, of course! well, what can we do? when two insane minds meet, there's bound to be some insane reaction, right?
oh, and i was able to tell tito ed & tita beta that we'd like them to be principal sponsors in our wedding. i had planned for schmuck and i to give the invitation, but schmuck hasn't arrived yet and tito ed & tita beta were already about to leave. they will also be going back to the states next week so this was the best time to tell them. it's a good thing schmuck arrived just before they left, so the invitation still came from both of us. whew! anyway, the good news is that they accepted our invitation. yahooooo! i'm so happy! funny thing though, when schmuck arrived, tita beta said that she remembers him as being slimmer. BWARHARHAR! we all had a good laugh with that one!
i also got gifts from ella, and i am sooooo raving about them! my favorite gift is a frette 100% cotton turkish terry shawl collar robe in a delicious shade of baby pink! when i opened the bag, i first thought that it was a bed comforter cause it was so thick and heavy. but surprise of surprises, it was a terry robe! i couldn't help shrieking when i opened it! i immediately wore it, and pranced all over the room. i could hear schmuck muttering under his breath, and it sounded like "i'm marrying a retard" but i didn't care. I SOOOO LOVE IT!!! i've always wanted a really nice and thick and fluffy terry robe, but couldn't find any here in manila that was to my liking. i always found the terry cloth too thin. but what ella gave me is beyond divine! as i was prancing around my room last night in my robe, i asked schmuck how i look and he said i looked like a nice, big, fat cotton candy! teehee!
and the bag...my oh my! it's perfect! it's a black leather nine west bag, which comes with a cosmetic case, a cellphone case, and a key fob. the size is also perfect since i love to carry everything with me. sometimes i even surprise myself cause when i scrummage for something in my bag, i'll find something i never even realized i had like plastic spoon & fork, or a shoe-shiner, or a lint remover, or whiteboard markers, or a laser pointer...the list goes on and on.
i also got a nine west wallet, which is really a godsend, as i had been planning on retiring my current one. the wallet i use now was one of schmuck's pasalubong when he went on a us trip last year, and i love it. it's a black croc leather wallet from lauren. but i think it's reached its limit with me, as i love to keep receipts for no apparent reason. i guess i'm hoping that by putting the receipt in my wallet, i'm also putting back the money i shelled out. believe me, though, it does not work.
there were some more gifts from ella, but i think i have to shut up already. i'm blabbering again, and this will turn out to be a really loooong post.
ella, i know you're reading this. as usual, you've managed to give me gifts that i truly love and adore! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
oh, and i have a confession to make. as i am writing this post, i'm wearing my frette robe. teehee!
